Francis Family

Hey Heidi – The Francis family would like to thank you, Jon, the Jack and Jill Foundation, all the sponsors and people that made our trip to Denver a truly amazing WOW experience.

We arrived in Denver early Saturday morning after a wonderful flight on Southwest airlines. They were so helpful and generous in making sure the six of us all had seats together so we could talk and enjoy the trip. Those little things are so appreciated by our family. At the airport in Denver we picked up a suburban from Budget – this was great as the boys had their own space and plenty of room for the wheelchair.

After a short drive we arrived at what the boys called paradise – The Westin! Words cannot describe how we were treated by the staff at the Westin. As we pulled up to the front, the gentlemen parking cars knew our family by name, that was impressive. The royal treatment continued for the rest of our stay with a huge three room suite and all the boys had their own space, TV and bed. What a awesome place to stay with even better people. We had the best breakfast every morning with the ladies working the restaurant. They went so far above and beyond to help us with everything we needed and wanted. Saturday also gave us a meeting with Dallas Clark of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, number 44 jerseys for the entire family and time for the boys to talk to their favorite NFL player. The evening was capped off with an amazing musical called “The White Christmas” . What a beautiful theater and show – it was spectacular!

Sunday was our day with the Broncos. What an awesome day! Cindy met us in front of the stadium with Broncos jerseys and hats for the entire family. She took us on the field where we watched the teams warm up. After warm-ups it was up to a Presidential Suite where we watched the game, and enjoyed all the delicious food we could eat. The staff in the suite took care of everything and made sure the boys had everything. Watching the game in such a beautiful suite was beyond belief.

During the day Monday we spent hours enjoying the Museum of Nature and Science. It was perfect for the boys with all the exploring and hands on experiments. We went to the IMAX for a 3D film on polar bears – really cool. We grabbed a bite to eat then on to the Denver Nuggets basketball game. We were met at the VIP entrance and went right down to the floor where the boys got to sit on the Nuggets bench and then were able to go out and shoot on the floor. This was a dream come true for the boys who are huge basketball fans – shooting hoops on an NBA floor with each other is something they will never forget.

This was such an amazing trip and I have only mentioned the highlights – I know I am forgetting so many things and people. There were so many more smaller but very special moments that it would take me a book to mention all of them and all of the people that made this such a memorable trip. The job you did arranging all the details was so much appreciated – I had the opportunity to relax and enjoy my family without worrying about all the details. Talking to and meeting Jon was one of my favorite parts – I think Jon and I will be life-long friends. Thank you, Heidi, Jon, JAJF, and all the sponsors for one TRULY AMAZING WOW EXPERIENCE! You are very special people and this is a very special organization!
