Dear Heidi, WOW!!!

What an incredible vacation you planned for us. From the moment we got off the plane in Denver to arriving at the Vail Marriott and meeting Dave, all the activities and great food everything, it was amazing. Let me go into more detail about our trip, when we arrived in Denver we were met by Doug from the High Country Transportation. It was a blizzard in Denver and he was amazing getting us safely to Vail. I commend him he was awesome. We arrived at the Marriott and met by Dave Pease, who is such an amazing gentleman, he greeted us like family and we became family. The room was absolutely amazing and filled with all kinds of goodies thanks to Sydney, she provided everything we needed, even homemade chocolate cookies!!!! We then proceeded downstairs again to go over our itinerary. Thanks to Charter Sports for setting us up with all the ski equipment, and to Ski Tech Rentals for loaning us ski attire, you guys were great!! Then off to dinner at the hotel 7One5.

The chef prepared a special shrimp and crab cake first course, amazing as well as the rest of the dinner. Day Two: Skiing on Monday was absolutely incredible, beautiful blue sky, I hopped on those skis and took off, it was truly amazing to fly down the slopes again. The kids absolutely loved the snowboarding lessons, their instructor was amazing. Then off to dinner at La Tour, oh my gosh what an incredible dinner and setting, lovely!!!!! Let me just add one thing before I go on. We felt like royalty the whole time we were there. It was truly magical and we felt like nothing else mattered in the world but us. It was such a relief for just one moment to live a dream. Day Three was spent walking around the Vail Village and doing some shopping. We were fortunate enough to have Matt Welch with us taking photos and showing us around. Very, very nice young man!!! The pictures were awesome. Then off to the top of the mountain for some innertubing.

Oh my gosh, that was so much fun. Then off to dinner at the 10th. We took a gondola ride half way up the hill, it was snowing, could not have asked for a more beautiful setting. Totally delicious meal!!!! Didn't want that to come to an end. Great time!!!! Day Four we ran into the Lionshead Village to finish up some last minute shopping and thanks again to Charter Sports for the shirts and hats and face masks. We ended with lots of hugs and tears, leaving family is always hard. I can't thank the Jack and Jill Foundation enough, Jon you are an incredible man to have founded this organization on behalf of your late wife, and have helped so many families forget for just a moment the ugliness of cancer. To be a witness to see my children laugh, really laugh because of the great fun we had. Thank you so very much. I will never forget the great memories we shared even if for a moment they will live forever in our hearts. God Bless you, Jon and all the people who shared in our trip.

Love, Joanne
